DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

Did the number come from an e-mail? Just wondering...probably not a good idea to post it in case it is for those lucky to get the number...
i just called 1-800-333-DISH and i was nice and told them i really didn't want to miss the walking dead. i was transferred to loyalty and as soon as the csr came to the phone he asked me how i was and offered me the roku.
 
Damn, I'll be going out of town for 2 weeks, would like to try for the free Roku, but I won't be here to receive it. Hopefully, the offer will still stand when I get back.
 
Well, just chatted with Dish account loyalty and got $10 off for 12 months, A Roku XD, and no contract extension.

Was a lil bit harder for me but with a lot of persistence and the dreaded we may have to look for a new provider they ponied up the Roku XD aprv $79.99!!They started off with $5 off for 3 months,I declined.Transferred to loyalty they started with $5 off for 6 months.All the while both reps kept stating there was no such roku offer.:rolleyes:I told them about reading other customers getting free roku both here and FB.They then asked if we had wireless I said yes we do,magically they stated we have a great Roku offer.:rolleyes: Geesh why not just be honest?Anyway we are happy with the deal a very fair trade off,perhaps even more than fair!

Anyway thanks to all who shared the deal here!! And thanks to dish for finally giving us the deal!
 
My faith has been restored. Would I have been happy just to have the channel and none of this occur, yes did dish have to do all they have to make it right, no. they did not have to do anything. The fact that they are and to the length they are going tells me I made the right choice. Thank you for everything. I am also getting a roku. :-)

Yes it is good to see they are offering some incentives for folks, will not please everyone but I think it's a good gesture

Not sue dan188,All I can tell you is we have AT250 and that our bill is about $120 per month before taxes.We have been with dish for a longtime as well.
 
Even though I am disappointed that they dropped the channels, I'm pretty impressed by the steps they are taking to compensate subscribers for the loss, going so far as to pay for an alternative method of watching the missing programming.

Kudos to Dish! Seriously.

Yep I am very happy to still be a Dish customer!I sincerely hope they treat everyone as a valued customer that is affected by this dispute.
