Considering what's happened in Canada, that's not far from the truth...They make it so difficult for people down here in the states. Why can't they just do it like they do in Canada and let you get the nets from one coast to the other (or at least one set from each time zone)!
Oh...that's right. It's has to do with money. "If I get locals from another market, then my local channels will go out of business."
As it is, the reason for the differences, is because in Canada almost all affiliates are owned & operated by the networks. In the U.S. though, most affiliates are not.
