no current way to search by "Free" i have requested it so maybe in next software update.

Doesn't look like the current software upgrade has this feature. Any ideas if this is still on the future software features request todo's?

I came from Comcast where they had a lot of free content so this would be a start in the right direction.

Free as in, the regular monthly bill goes up to pay for the 'free' content. Lol

Not exactly sure what you mean about "are there "*" at the top of any of the screens"? Do you mean in the description of the movie, is there a * at the top? So if you put "*" in the Search Keyword field, you would get back everything that is "Free"?
The good thing is that the search options are better now. You can search by dish platinum, movie themes, SD and HD or HD only. Now they just need to add a "Free" to the bottom of the list.

Before the new version of Dish Cinema you could search FREE. When they download the new version it was gone.
