Latest graphics drivers, very high speed connection with the latest Dish Anywhere application on Windows 10 64 bit. The brightness flickers dark and light pretty regularly. Hopper with Sling (1.0?). Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks.

I never use it on my computer, but I just installed it again and watched for awhile and didn't see this flickering on mine. I have a pretty old computer i built in 2010, but i Have the Hooper 3 and 1Gb/s internet, for what it's worth

I had flickering when I watched it on my pc... I haven’t used it in awhile because the Dish Anywhere app kept my PC from sleeping so I uninstalled it. I don’t think it has anything to do with your setup/internet connection.. since if your on the same subnet, your internet speed doesn’t matter since all traffic is local... it’s probably the Dish Anywhere app.

I have seen flickering when using Dish Anywhere on my PC computers (laptop and desktop). The flickering that I see is not as severe as in the clip posted above, but otherwise it is the same. For me. the flickering is worse when Dish Anywhere first starts up. After watching it for a couple of minutes, the flickering disappears. I have also noticed that it is worse on my laptop vs my desktop. Because I see the flickering when it first starts up, I attributed it to the network not quite keeping up with the data stream that Dish Anywhere is expecting. Once the data stream stabilizes, the video becomes stable.

I also think that the problem with the data stream not keeping up with Dish Anywhere when it first starts up is due to the Dish Anywhere app, and not a fault of my home network.

Here is a way around that: Open Windows Task Manager and select the "startup" tab. Set the Dish Anywhere Player to "Disabled" (that will prevent it from automatically starting up when you turn on your computer). The Dish Anywhere app will still work normally, there is no need for the Dish Anywhere Player to automatically start. Then, after using the Dish Anywhere app, right click on the Dish Anywhere icon in the taskbar and select "Quit". The PC screen saver will work, and the PC will go to sleep normally.

The flickering is the intel video card trying to adjust contrast on each frame...

In the Intel® Graphics and Media Control Panel under your computer's Control Panel, go to the Image Enhancement settings and deselect Adaptive contrast enhancement to prevent the contrast from constantly changing on the video.
