Dish 811 Problem

I have recently installed a TERK 42 antenna for OTA local channels. My 811 receiver has froze up twice now since installing the antenna (3 days). The program guide will show 'no info avail' and then go into the acquiring satellite signal and just freeze up. I have a 522 receiver also connected and have never encountered this problem. Has anybody had this happen and know how to fix it? From what I've read, it sounds like the 811 is a piece of junk!

Yeah, don't use the terk

Your leasing the equipment so call DISH for a replacement you may eventually get a good one.

Before you call for a new receiver, disconnect the Terk Antenna and see if the problem stops. If it does, get a better antenna, like the Winegard GS2200. They make a kit so you can mount it on a pole on the back of your Dish. We have had great luck with them in the Chicago area.
