Dish 721 connected to only one sat (148)

I just got 721 and I have only one dish pointing at 148

- Every night receiver is powered off, whatever happen at night, in morning receiver's green light is still off but output on TV is "starting receiver please wait". is it rebooting every night?

- While watching TV, I get blue banner "starting receiver please wait"

- While watching TV, I get black screen on TV. Audio is going on..

- Sometime when I press guide, small picture window goes on upper right corner but no guide (rest of the screen is black)

I have latest software (172)

Do I need to have two dish one pointing at 110 or 119 and another at 148?

This is my third 721, previous two had bad hard disk.

I have seen above problem with all three receivers before disk went bad. Now I don't think that 3rd receiver is bad.

I don't care about EPG. I can't get 110/119 due to other houses and tree.

Am I seeing issues because I am pointing to only one sat?

The 721 really wants to see the 110° satellite. This is where the 9 day guide is located. If it can't see that, it goes "nuts" trying to find the guide info. What you are experiencing are all symptoms of the same problem. Sorry.
