I could care less about Fox in HD personally, but being in the business I'm only looking out my my customers.

Yeah but my point is that not always going to be the case for everyone. Some folks might get their locals in HD with Direct some might not. Same goes with Dish or any other provider out there. When it all said done where you live and your choice of providers and what available to you is what everyone deals with. Just go with what best for you.
