It is really difficult for me not to ask how much energy will be consumed by transmitting Planet Green HD.

Showtime Extreme HD, Showtime Showcase HD, Planet Green HD, ABC Family HD

I don't subscribe to Showtime so that doesn't help me any but, my wife likes ABC Family so that is a plus (anything that keeps the wife happy is a good thing). Is Planet Green going to be part of the HD Extra pack?

Green should not be because there is an SD version of it.

Im not really concerned about any new nationals, Im more excited about the HD RSN's for coll football.

As am I. I actually like college football more than the NFL and I don't have to pay for an extra sports subscription. Of course some on here have a difficult time grasping the benefit of national RSNs. They believe pretty much most of the sports are blacked out all of the time. They have a difficult time understanding that collegiate sports are not blacked out and pro sport blackouts can be avoided with extra purchases.

Well I'm ready for them, whatever they may be. :up
According to others there should be more than just these 4 nationals and the RSNs conversions. There will be a couple more surprises next week and many more channels replacing some of the PPV placeholders in future weeks and months.

There should be more National HD channels going live if they are saying 130 HD channels , we shall see hopefully more HBO and Cinemax channels

OK, I know many of you would rather chop off your private parts then go there, but in post DirecTV HD - Current Listing - DBSTalk.Com there's a summary of what's to be added. But the best part of that post is a chart that shows what HD channels are on what transponders on D10 and D11, haven't seen anything like that floating around in a long time, thought you might be interested.

I don't know why a D* sub will not like to visit that site. Now if an E* sub says so I can certainly understand:)

Yes
Never stated otherwise, which is why I said, "...the vast majority is not blackout out if one gets the appropriate sports packages."
Why? What I said was true. The vast majority are not blacked out with the appropriate sports package.

The point being, RSNs are not a waste because without them we will not be able to get any of the sports packages, which attracts a lot of Direct subs, and those in the local markets would not be able to watch their respective teams.
Again, which is why I said, "...the vast majority is not blackout out if one gets the appropriate sports packages."
Still is that way.

Jimbo,

After reading my last post the tone seems to have come off as somewhat condescending. Just to let you know I did not mean for it to sound so negative and demeaning. It is difficult to convey tone on the internet. Take it as serious, but said in tongue and cheek at the same time (Does that make sense?):up

:D

DodgerKing,
You stated something about a couple more surprises next week???? Do you have a heads up as to what those will be??? Rumors???? Or are you just stating a generalization?

Don't know for sure if they are surprises, but a few insiders at DBSTalk have hinted that there maybe more than just these 4 national HD channels next week.
