well I got the quote for HD upgrade from my current provider. It was not good.

so considering switching back to direct to take advantage of the new customer offers. we were DTV customers from way back like (1997-2007ish?), only switching due to a move and cost (and a loss of channels). Overall, I was happy with service so no probs there. There was an independent sales guy blanketing my little town door to door recently, and had some GREAT offers, but only had short time to pull the trigger, and Unfortunately, I was indecisive, and missed it...so....

Is there someone here who could give me a quote. Lookin for premium channel list with some of the bells and whistles and in HD...

cool thanks for the link. hey one question. is the "genie" box a stand alone machine wired directly to the other tvs. or does it have to have the mini receiver box like the dish system?

the genie is a 5 tuner stand alone box and connects to the tv
it will feed the c31's, they dont have tuners

you can see the price per month for each month in your 24 month contract after you build a package
so there shouldnt be a suprise
well excpet for maybe taxes and fees in some areas

The website will give you most of the details if you Build a package, or you can call D* and they will be able to give you the info as well.

We here on this site cannot give you definite prices ... there are generally 3 different deals available, 1) calling in, 2) online from D*'s website, where your looking now, also you have an option 3) of using a local retailer, but you may not get the Free installation that D* would supply, maybe, maybe not, depends on the retailer.

Theres also the Menards, Costco type of idea as well.

yep, got what I needed from their site. thanks again. It was just internet trouble here this morning and wouldnt go through build package part. And I had received a an exact quote from someone here that works for the other company....so halfway expected it...gave it a shot.

Quite pleased with the offers too.

I Doubt seriously Ill be going to a retailer for it. Although... the first time we bought a satellite, I bought it from walmart. like 25 years ago or whatever...installed myself in an afternoon... LOL

the only thing when looking at that "price per month" is they include the movie packages after 3 months (if you still get them free) so it shows like $50 higher after month 3. Obviously you can cancel the movie channels with no penalty
