DirecTivo Question

I'm ready to get a DirecTivo.
Best Buy has an RCA DVR-80 for $100.00
Then I saw a 40GB model for the same money that is listed as Series 2.
Can you tell me what the difference is with Series 2?

BTW.....In case this point figures into the explanation....I'm not against installing a big HDD and think I can handle the process.

Thise are BOTH Series 2 recorders and electronically identical.
