Does Direct tv offer a dual reciever like the Dish Network 322
I ASK BECAUSE I NEED SERVICE FOR 4 TV'S

This is a very important Question because from what I read Direct tv
charges an additional fee ON TOP OF YOUR PACKAGE for every reciever you have plus you need a phone line for every reciever as well, or Direct TV will charge another 20.00 in fees on top of that, for not having the phone lines.

Contract ending shortly need info to base deciesion ASAP

Can somone lay out just the reciver fees acciated with a Direct TV account
and the fees for not having phone for a reciever

PLEASE JUST BASIC (NOT HD) DIRECT TV RECIVER FEES
NOT ANY PACKAGE so I can compare the fee base cost properly

Thanks

My advice to you.Keep Dishnetwork.;)

I think it refers to having all receivers on the same account connected to the same line to make sure they are in the same house. I don't know of anyone who doesn't have a phone line connected that has been charged extra because of it. I think you are being a bit paranoid about it.

Cut him some slack, raoul... remember, he's coming from the land of the Audit Department!

Botman, let me allay your fears (if that is possible.) D* has no phone line Gestapo searching for people who are violating the rules. I guess it's because D* charges you the $4.99 whether or not you have the phone line connected. E*, OTOH, has to continually keep searching for those who are cheating them out of their additional receiver fees by promising to keep the line connected and then failing to do so.

You're right, Newshawk, I'm so ashamed of myself! ;) :D

Botman... In light of your admonitions to not believe any of us posting, I have just one question. Where did you get the above quoted information?

Wow, I guess I am just sheltered from paranoid people but this guy is really paranoid about this phone line issue.

Just to add another post that people shouldn't listen to, I have never had a phone line connected to my DirecTV receivers(with exception to activating a Tivo unit) the 7 years I have been doing business with them.

Is DISH cheaper? Well that depends if all you want is the Family pak or AT100 yes
DISH is cheaper. But if you want the most national channels you can get or if you want more than 1 DVR or the cheapest price for local channels or the best sports coverage then DirecTV is the way to go.And coming this fall the most HD channels.
It all depends what you are looking for.But Directv doesn't have all the"because we can fees" that DISH has to say any different is just misinformation. If you would like to know how I know I was a DISH subscriber for over 4 years.:hatsoff:

I have figured it out down to a T

I have a 4 tv setup
Dish Network is a lot cheaper per month, when you add up all the fees thrown in the bill on every package I looked at THATS ALL I KNOW

Speaking about a phone line connection I know customers for both DISH and DirecTV that do not have a phone line connected and have never had any problems.:hatsoff:

Thats not the Question, of couarse theirs no problem for Direct TV or Dish
its a cash cow side business!

"Just the added fees piled on top of the bill for not having
them for the Consumer"

You'll have a better chance of getting sued by DirecTV for designing and building networked arcade pay systems or security systems than you would of getting billed extra for not having a phone line hooked up. Nobody's ever heard of someone getting billed extra for not having their phone lines hooked up (maybe charged extra for the phone-in ppv purchase, but that's another story)

Its people like you they should not listen to!

they are just concerned about additional fees poping up, you should be to,
unless that is you have some kind of stake in protecting or hidding them

You remind me of that Wolf watching the Hen house story
