Dose anyone know the dvrhd34 set options for first run and with NO Repeats on the Direct tv dvrhd34 in the series manager the order it is display on the Reciver I want know Repeats ?

Hit info on what you have set to record (must show the "R" on the top of the screen) and select "first run" "repeat" or "both"

Then if you move the cursor over "Episode Type" and hit Select, you'll have 3 options pop up.

Sorry, I don't have a way to take a picture and put it on the site.
When you get to the point where you see Record Defaults, the 1st one up says "Episode Type" highlight it and hit the "Select button" azt that point it will say on the screen
First Run, Repeats and Both.
Highlight First Run and hit Select.
Then back out of of the settings section.
Also, even though you set the Recording Defaults for First Run, I would also make sure that when you set up your Recordings that that particular Recording is also set for First Run as well.

Press the down arrow until "Recordings" is blue, press "select"
Press the right arrow until the orange "Manage Records" menu is selected, press "select"
Select "Record Defaults" and this is what you SHOULD see. If you see "First Run" at the top, you're all set.
HOWEVER
I bet if you didn't have it set that way before now, you will have to update each program that you made previously on its own. I will also mention this: despite the proper settings being selected, it will often record old episodes, seemingly at random. I don't know why. Mine has been set to "First run" since the first day I got my Genie, also HR34. The picture I posted before was me showing an specific programs settings, not the general default. Sorry if the other picture confused you.

yup. Any old settings are saved on existing series recordings so you will need to either erase all existing series and redo or change each one.
If there is no "first air date" it will record it as a precaution. I have one episode of Alaska State Troopers that records EVERY time it shows up in the guide because the first run date is dropped (it just says 2013). Also have a local wrestling show that is on twice a weekend and it records both because there is no air date.
