Direct tv Gennie 44 Questions

I have it set to 1080i or Native resolution off it will leave the 1080i channels as is and let your TV scale them to 1080p. is this right ?

If you set it to native it just sends whatever resolution it is receiving over to the TV and lets it handle the scaling. If you use this setting your TV will get 1080p from some VOD content and 480i/720p/1080i from regular channels and scale it to 1080p. This is the setting I would choose but it probably won't make much real world difference.

1 When I tuned to a sports channel, you should see the prompt on your TV screen telling you that ScoreGuide is available by pressing the remote's red button. for me it is the green button is this right


2 Should I turn on Tv Recamends feature

Sportsman we've already responded. So many members here have tried to help you and I've even
On a personal level done my best to assist you but it's not enough. I post you a picture and that's not enough either. This isn't about being technical but just reading and following instructions posted for you. You seem to be able to post just fine yet you don't read the replies to your posts. Iceberg is just frustrated as are others who have been extremely patient answering your same questions. There's nothing else I can do for you as all that is left is for me to go where you live and follow these very easy steps with your remote.

If you check both 1080i and 1080p, you will get 1080p if you ever get a 1080p PPV. Like Iceberg said, turn off native. It will make channel changing faster. No channel broadcasts in 1080p, so it will display 1080i unless you get a PPV movie in 1080p.
