There is supposed to be a way to control these via RS-232 and RS-485, but I have not been adventuresome enough to figure it out. The pro version of TSReader says it can talk to these via serial port though. Too many $$ for my taste.

no remote and everything has to be programmed in. But once you get the hang of it its pretty easy

I like that you can hook 4 cables into the back if you have multiple dishes set up.

I found some new ones on Ebay!

They are called Phoenix terminal block connectors and someone
has them in Minnesota for $7 shipped.

TSReader doesn't blind scan. You have to tell it what signal to tune.
But it does show what channels are in the mux.
The DVBTech card can only display ZK mode, so ZK channels are green and FP channels are shown as red like other encrypted channels.
I still have to use the Digitrans to see if there are any FP channels in the mux.

When I Googled TSReader it sounded kind of interesting but I have

no experience (Yet! ) with computers for receiving satellite TV.
