Definitive answer please, Is the dish 1000 better wether you need one or not?

So EVEN if I don't need one because my dish 500 is pointed at 61.5, what are the pros of getting a dish 100o installed anyway? are there any?

some locals are being moved from 61.5 to 129 so if you live in a market it doesnt hurt to get the Dish 1000

All HD is mirrored on both 61.5 & 129 except for the CBS HD feed. Thats on 61.5 only (west coast feed is on 148 )

I replaced my 500 with the 1000 and kept the separate dish pointed at 61.5. Then tied them all together with DPP44. I figure with all the changes going on it does not hurt to be able to see all four sats. Working well for me.

I agree, I'm keeping 61.5 and adding the 1000 "just in case"
