If I read correctly, nobody is planning on doing 4KTV for at least three years. Given the state of modern electronics, the TV would be half dead before the first channel debuts.

As for those who balk at the price, what did you pay for your current 84" flat panel display?

Well my first house was more than that, but I did just pay $19500 for my 1500 sqft lake house 2 months ago. Being a handyman scrooge and doing most of the grunt work myself, I'm in it for $22,500 after remodeling.

I'll stick to the $500 50in plasma from 2011 xmas sales for it.
