Dead HR20

Got my hr20 yesterday wife was home for install. Said they had problem activating card I would have to activate when i got home. Well that's when the nightmare began. Would not activate so they tell me to reset. Only boots to blue direct tv dvr screen now. cAN'T COME OUT TILL oCT. 4TH.

Tried that about 5 times so far still boots to blue screen. Can hear harddrive clickin but blue screen still stays.

When they say ird do they mean on front of reciever or remote?

Yes, IRD = Integrated Receiver De-scrambler, so they mean use the actual front panel of the unit.

when i do that power light stays on all other lights are off and blue screen is still there?

Got it to download new software and now it's stuck at blue screen again.
