D12 all sub option

Now I'm kinda treading into an oddball area...DirecTv
Havent had it since 99 when Primestar was bought by D* and we were in a Pegasus area...remember them? (those who do and had them too probably just punched their monitor)

anywho.....my mom/stepdad got D* and got 2 D12's (the SD stand alone receiver) and the HD DVR and another one

Is there one of the D12 that lets you show just the stuff you sub for? (I tried guide guide and got favorites). Dish has an "all sub" option

My mom has had cable for almost 20 years now so this is new and I saw the guide and its weird. Thing I noticed is all the sports channels are in there even though they just have Choice extra (the 2nd package) and lots of channels they dont sub to. I dont want ot do favorites as my mom says she doesnt want ot mess with it so my stepdad cant see all the channels they get.

There is an All Sub option in the Favorites menu, and your non subbed channels are greyed out. This takes about 2 weeks to sync. Its called "Channels I get", however it will still show PPV, Sports and Adults (unless blocked) probably in hopes you will order them.

The PPV stuff not worried about. Its the other stuff that bothers my mom

She was one of those "start on channel 2, go through the channels to see if there is anything on, if not then turn TV off"....she is getting use to the guide but doesnt like the "you do not subscribe to this channel" when she selects it

so to get the "all sub" is it just "guide guide" then in the favorites?

I don't have the D12 but if its like all the others go to Menu > Parental, Fav's & Setup > Favorite Channels then a screen should say Favorite Channels on top, Edit Settings, All Channels, Channels I Get then probably say set up Custom 1 and Custom 2. Set up Custom 1 for Her or just go to the Channels I Get (all sub).

Custom 1 be the best to eliminate the PPV's though
