Actually 25. Their website counts 999 Inside VOOM HD as another HD channel. I do not know if its part of the 39 or not at this point.

Here's a brief review from Ken Ross at AVSForum.com

* HD weather & news- VERY neat HD graphics on the weather, but I've yet to see any HD news. They say that's coming.

*HD Demo Channel- You always have to one of these don't you?

* 10 HD Movie Channels- These rotate on a daily basis from what I've seen thus far. So you get 10 different HD movies a day. The movies are not first run and tend to be of the ilk that you'd see on HDNet Movies. I know I know, give me the names of 10. Another post...let me get through this first.

* An HD Sci Fi or "Monster Channel"- A number of different HD horror movies shown each day. Some look pretty funny.

* HD Epics- Yet another HD movie channel showing various big budget movies from the past. What's kind of neat is seeing a B&W movie in HD. A different kind of eye candy.

*World Sport- An HD sports channel. Thus far I've only seen HD soccer games. And yes, I've seen a number of different soccer games, all in true HD. I have no idea when they were played, but I don't think (though I don't know for sure) any have yet been live.

*Rush- Some material on this one looks upconverted and some is true HD. From skateboarding to sky diving (some of that stuff was outstanding) and other weird things.

*Rave- HD musical concerts (mostly rock I'm guessing) and, for lack of a better description, an HD MTV.

*Treasure- HD video of art collection, collectibles etc. For me kind of ho hum, but others might find it interesting.

*Ultra- Models, models, models and, did I say models?....all in HD video. Yes, eye candy. These guys must be taping fashion shows in HD 24/7.

*Gallery HD- I haven't really watched this one

*MOOV- O.K. this one gets my vote for immediate dispatch to the trash can. This is the classic "bandwidth waster". Kind of reminds me of watching an HD lava lamp. Music set to God knows what kind of moving backgrounds

*Animania- Right up there with MOOV. Imagine watching Gumbie in HD and you've got this one nailed.

*Showtime E & W in HD- Nuff said

More to come as I actually WATCH this stuff rather than just look at the HD quality and do my A/B tests with D*
