'CSI': Ted Danson Replaces Laurence Fishburne

I think that the show has gotten to long in the tooth and it is time to cancel it. I don't care who you put in charge of the team. The whole CSI franchise is getting to old . The ratings for all of the three shows ,especially New York version have, dropped. Might be time to let other shows fill the void. It's not like CBS doesn't have more than enough shows that they could replace them with.

I don't see CSI lasting 20 years . People get bored and move on pretty quickly. That is why reality tv is so popular. Change the topic a new reality show. Cbs has so many new shows that they could launch in place of the older CSI shows. Like NCIS: Pittsburgh or NCIS: KANSAS ,etc, etc.;)

too many to name....or even remember...

CBS is sometimes a victim of their own success. They often cancel series a year or two early (arguably Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, Medium and Numb3rs) when they still have a loyal following and decent ratings. Heck, just move 'em into a Friday or Sunday timeslot. CBS also has a habit of cancelling series after the first season if it's not drawing 12 million viewers. Just look at The Defenders. The show went head-to-head with two other new legal shows, Law & Order: LA and The Whole Truth, and ran both shows out-of-business while pulling in 10 million viewers weekly. Still, CBS decided to pull the plug on them. Likewise, as much as I didn't like Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior the network cancelled them after their first season...and they were regularly drawing 10-12 million viewers. Heck, the show wasn't that bad - it just needed some character and writing tweaking.

Anyway, now I'm upset about Numb3rs and I get the feeling Ted Danson is going to kill CSI.
