Maybe they brought Ted Danson on the show to give Patricia Arquette a love interest ,so she can have a personal life that might make her a bit more likeable.

She could die in an accident that propels DB to take a new job at CSI cyber and leave his old post. All could happen off camera and we could hear about it in flashbacks next season. That leaves old former psychologist Rosanna Arquette to help DB with his trauma and then falls for him. Bingo! A fine romance ensues with the two leads.
I've been thinking...Patricia Arquette's character could be killed off and they could bring aboard David Krumholz, Rob Morrow and Judd Hirsh to join Peter MacNicol...who better than to have a team of Numb3rs Geeks running the Cyber Team.
I´m fine with whatever happens with Arquette, will keep watching if they keep Raven on the show.

I liked her the show Medium, but she triggers my gag-reflex in this series.
Haven't watched the finale yet, but the ending of the previous episode where they were playing the video game and the fake laugh, etc. just about made me sick.

Ok, I saw the finale episode and it got to me at the end. We finally see why she is so emotion less at work and so guarded. I went through what she did in the show and if you haven't watched it yet I say don't read anymore of this post.
MY wife and I lost a child in our life, like she did in the show. Our 6 month old baby named Jeremy. It didn't split my wife and I apart like her and her husband ,but it did nearly kill us. I had to work at the prison during the day , keep my emotions bottled up, so I could be strong for my wife and not start crying. She took off months while the baby born premature was in the hospital and then when he died , she was still off for more months. I basically cooked, cleaned, worked and did everything and had to be supportive for my wife ,but never let my guard down. To top it off ,since most of the prison staff attended our son's funeral , the word got around and the inmates ,being the a**holes they could be, decided to say horrible stuff to me and my wife when she returned to work. Like: I know you killed your baby! All that lead to me shutting down for the most part at home and at work till I was triggered by something like what the inmates said to get a rise out of me.
That explains why Avery is so emotionless and in charge. She has to be ,because when she looks at the video of her little girl Hanna having fun in the park with her and her husband, she cries. That happened years ago for her too. When she went to see her ex husband to apologize for how her CSI unit had treated him, and they finally confronted the death and hugged and started crying, I cried too. Now I know that may sound silly ,but the whole subject is still fresh in my mind and my son died over 16 years ago. I finally felt some connection to Avery Ryan and her motivation in the show. I think now I can finally watch this show and give her character a break.

I was watching tonight´s re-run episode about the hacking of the service car app.
Watching Raven in that party dress was worth it.
It seems that the issue of those car service apps is in the news in some countries nowadays.
Flipping channels I barely caught a glimpse of a Toronto local newscast where they were saying they want to ban Uber in Toronto.
Anyway, I think the episode (Ep 3 Killer En Route) made some valid points about that type of service.
Thanks to MikeD´s comments above, now I see Avery/Arquette with different eyes.
Looking forward to next season.

And barring a ratings miracle, next season will be its last. Both CSI and CSI:Miami were canceled while airing in the dreaded CBS Sunday 10PM slot and given the mediocre but declining ratings for CSI:Cyber the show will not make it. With a 13 episode first season and presumably a 22 episode second season that's only one-third the way to the magic 100 episode mark. I cannot see CBS giving this dreck an additional 3 seasons beyond 2015-16 in order to attempt to cash in on syndication. At least with the Sunday time slot, after a depressing day of football, I can always wind down my weekend with the comedic anecdote of the FBIs Cyber Crime superhero's lead by Stone Face Ryan and Sam Malone.
There should be a CSI:Cyber drinking game. How many times can the words 'black hat' and 'white hat' be uttered in a single episode. And while the idiotic intro voice over was cute the first few episodes, it got old quickly. Which brings me to another point. I may be mistaken, and it's very well I could be since I am so amused by this shows stupidity and don't always pay attention to the finer details. Didn't Avery have her Shrink business hacked 20 years ago according to the first episode? But like you, she posted on social media. I guess usenet, old school BBS and AOL chatrooms could be considered the 'social media' of 1995.

The answer to your question is Yes, thats pretty much the basis of the whole show, she got hacked and wanted to get back at the person that hacked her.
Now she has, so the show can be over
...I don't mind the show although it's not one I WAIT to come on each week.
I believe the reason this show is still on is that it is the only one of the CSI's still going, I would think that they would have ANOTHER CSI up and running before this one officially goes down.
Now they could bring CSI NY back, as it left way to soon in my opinion.
Or even reboot it with Mac as maybe commissioner ?

Up until the three month break for Jericho, it averaged over 10 million viewers, after the break it hovered around 8 million. CSI:Cyber is now below 7 million.

Episode 2 starts with Stone Face (I liked that nickname) saying:

checked my bank account balance online, even kept the confidential files of my psychological practice on my computer,
Then I was hacked, and as a result one of my patients was murdered.....
etc, etc , nameless, faceless...

Biggest problem would be stars have moved on but it was better than most of the TRASH CURRENTLY being offeredNow they could bring CSI NY back, as it left way to soon in my opinion.
