I read yesterday that the future of the series is in flux after the shows current episode list has been trimmed to 18 from 22. The article said that the George Eads is leaving at the end of this season too. After 15 years it might be time to wrap up the last CSI show and move on.

The trimming was mostly due to fitting in CSI:Cyber according to articles I read after the trimming. It's a solid show with solid ratings, a loyal fan base, and is a good lead-in or follow-up for new shows. If CSI:Cyber takes off, I can see it and CSI back to back.

Time will tell. But I stopped watching the show about 3 years ago. After they cancelled CSI Miami I lost interest in the regular CSI show too. I really feel like it might be time for them to try another concept all together .

Time will tell. But I stopped watching the show about 3 years ago. After they cancelled CSI Miami I lost interest in the regular CSI show too. I really feel like it might be time for them to try another concept all together .

The show has gotten much better with Ted Danson & Elizabeth Shue ... Not ready for the pasture yet.

Mike you haven't watched CSI in awhile, why all the hate! it beats the crap out of the 2 or 3 years after Grissom left with Fishburn...

Superbowl is next Sunday Feb.1 so there is one episode to use up. CSI Cyber already has a start date so the intro episode has got to replay. It does seem like the quality of the writing has slipped to the point it is time to end but it is still better than Fishburn episodes.

I don't hate it , I just think that it is a little long in the tooth now after 15 years and it is the last CSI show on the air. I see Cbs wanting to cancel it and move on to a new franchise. But you are right about watching it. I haven't watched since the last season after Katherine left and they brought the other lady in her place. Is there anyone left from the original cast left now?
