Could the Mitsubishi HD1000U be the new X-1 for Projector folks?

I have an X1, it was and still will be a good PJ when I get a new bulb for it... but, My question is can the Mitsubishi HD1000U be the new X-1 (entry or otherwise front projector) *the x1 has been a very popular front projector since it came out... I am really loving my new HD1000U which is a big jump PQ wise from the Infocus X1...

I've been very happy with my X1 for the last 2.5 years. The X1 was so popular because it was the first DLP projector to go below $1,000. But it is what it is, a business projector. I'm going to upgrade very soon to the HD1000 because my bulb is getting very dim. The HD1000 is even better, being a 720p projector for $899.
