Could I blow my dish LNB using PS-9370 while diplexed?

Hiya friends,
Old voomer (oh how I miss it!) here. I'm trying to use my old Voom (God rest it's soul) OTA with my Dish set up.
I've got a 4 room dish install. 2 HD recievers (811) and the other two rooms share a dual tuner Standard Def reciever. I've got two dishes up with a total of 3 LNBs. I climbed up the roof and bolted my Winegard SG-2000A amplified OTA antenna to on of the dishes so I can get OTA to my two HD recievers. I hooked up the outside diplexer that was on the voom set up as to avoid having to run another long coax into the house (as there's already 4 lol).
However my OTA recieption downstairs is fair to poor and reception is 0% upstairs. I figure, along with aiming the antenna properly, I likely may need to add power to the antenna.
My questions are:
1.) Do the Dish STBs supply power out of the Satellite input F connecter as Voom's (God rest it's soul) did?
2.) If it does, do you suppose I run the risk of sending too much voltage (enough to cause any damage) to the Dish LNBs (as it's diplexed) if I connect Winegard's PS-9370 power supply to power the Antenna?

If the OTA needs to be powered you need to run a dedicated cable to it and use the power inserter that came with and then split the output.

yes you can in short order, with any antenna system it is always better to go with a dedicated line and a preamp, amp, and than diplex that into the sat line if need be. Cleaner signals all the way around

No you will not damage lnb. Lnbs are internally regulated for up to 35 volts and protected for rev pol and even higher voltages.

You cannot use the power supply however as you were correct in that the STBs add power the coax for powering DP devices. plus 21vdc. The two power supplies will not be "happy" connected together! At best one will be cutoff by internal steering diode. At worse you will have smoke.

If you connected the diplexer properly it will supply voltage to your off air ant amp. As it did before. Diplexer must be power passive both ports or better yet, power reg to 12vdc to ant port.

Your lack of signal is most likely due to the DP switches not passing "off air".
The diplexer must be inserted closest to rec. on roof. The switch that connects your two dishes will not pass u/v signals.

If you have trouble following this, run another coax, as was suggested. That is always the "cleanest" method.

Thanks for the feed back everyone. I suppose I'll do it properly and just resign myself to running another coax to the OTA using the seperate power supply.
Although I think my money may be better spent on a rubber raft with all this rain we're getting here in Mass.
