I noticed my local Costco warehouse has a DishNetwork brochure like product (at least on the shelves) for $29.99. It is just a pamphlet in molded plastic that lists out the standard Dish packages/channels.

The sales guys couldn't explain to me what it is that I am paying for -- after all, Dish offers all equipment and installation for free.

Costco usually offers decent stuff, but I'm not sure exactly what they are selling in this case! Am curious. Has anyone bought Dish Programming through Costco? What's the skinny?

Costco used to carry Dish Network equipment in their stores but stopped doing so about two years ago. They now promote the various leasing programs that Dish has and are the same as the ones at Wal Mart and Radio Shack.

Thanks...It's surprising though that Costco would sell something that has no upside compared to Walmart or Radioshack...I figured Costco would offer something only if it's a better deal than outside...else why pay them a membership fee.
