Do the signal meters EVER reach 100%? Or do you have to be spacewalking next to one of the satellites to get that kind of quality? Seriously...cause back before the dish was bent...i was tweaking til no end...and could never get 100%, let alone 80 or 90 on the Coolsat. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have seen a few satellite TP's with 100% signal quality (mainly DBS) but not many Ku signals will get that high! (Don't have a coolsat)

Highest I ever got was 86.I hooked up a Friend's Coolsat to my dish and we got a 92 on the Nimiq sats with factory software.Go figure.

Hey Techno,

What does the HBO West reference in your signature mean? I don't understand that.
Probably gunning for the MPG4 / 8PSK stuff on 148w.

Seeing it in the clear got my hopes up too...until I realized how much equipment I'd need to tune it.

Some folks here have done it (I think!).

You really don't need 100% quality on a coolsat. I have a Coolsat 4000 and as long as I get 67% or higher my signal's fine. Here on the west coast, anything in the 70's will give you a great picture with sound.

It looks as if HBO west comes in the clear on 148 West but requires MPEg 4. I'm not sure. Ice, do you know ? Where has Iceberg been lately? He seems to know a ton of this stuff too.
