connecting broadband to hopper using 2 sling link turbos

Last Tuesday I connected a Hopper and 2 joeys for a new customer and connected the hopper to the customers network using two sling link turbos for the connection. When running the broadband connection test under the network setup tab on the hopper it showed a connected status and 3 green ok's next to DHCP, server and internet connection. So I connected the sling adapter and attempted to set up the tv everywhere connection on the customer computer. After getting logged in the icon for the sling adapter was visable with the assigned name for the hopper, but I couldn't get the hopper to provide video on his computer. Going back to the hopper I noticed the red light was not on the sling adapter. Does this have anything to do with the sling link turbo connection or should I look elsewhere? I've tried another sling adapter and got the exact same result, so I don't think the SA is the problem. Any ideas on where to go from here?

The red light comes on after the sling firmware is updated. I would go system info page 2 and check for the Sling Adapter version and status. The Sling firmware is downloaded over broadband, so as long as the broadband connection is good then it should update. You could also try removing the sling, then do a reset on the Hopper, wait for it to boot up and then connect the Sling to a different USB port. Give it 2-3 minutes and see if a message comes up or the red light comes on.

Thanks for the reply to my post, I really appreciate it. So far, nothing we've done has made the light come on. I just wonder if the new hopper software which was downloaded to his hopper on the day of the install (11/13/12) has caused this problem. I saw the red sling adapter red light come when I first plugged in the adapter on the day of the install but the hopper didn't recognize it, so we unplugged it, reset the hopper and plugged it back in, but never got a red light after that.
