I am confused, from reading some of the posts is it possible to connect my computer to Dish Network and be able to view and/or record shows, movies, etc?
By the way I have a Dish Network model 625 and a model 322.

It depends on your definition of "connect". You can capture SD content form the composite output to a PC if you have a video capture card.

If you want to record the digital stream - no. Not unless you have a dish box modded with the R5000 USB output.

SD receivers

The receivers that you have stated are SD and the capture card needed for them doesn't need to be component. the card just needs to be able to capture composite video w/analog audio. Those video capture cards are much more available than component video HD.

tired of dish

COMPARISON: Current promos vs. Upcoming promos...which are better??
