Last time I had D* my locals was on 72.5. I'm assuming they have moved to 99 or 103 since the bigger dish is being installed in my neighborhood. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the 103 and 99 birds MPEG-4 birds? My installation would be a SD installation. So what type of MPEG-4 DVR do they use for a SD installation. My zip code is 37711(Tri-Cities Tennessee)

In those areas like yours where the locals used to be on 72.5, they are on either 99 or 103 and in mpeg4. That means that you will get mpeg4 boxes but not have to pay for hd service unless you want it. I don't know what dvr you will get.
