Saw this news article.
I was not aware that NBC was doing any 4k sports until I saw a grid of 4k sports and saw the Notre Dame game.
Which a poster here mentioned it was one of four games 10/12 on DTV.
In searching it appears Comcast is now in the game of 4k HDR live sports.
Here's a news link about this and shows upcoming NCAA football games.
It appears all have been shown in Sept-Oct. .
I'm guessing they will add one or two weekly through the full season.
Comcast Airing College Football In 4K HDR - The TV Answer Man!
and it's mentioned in this link.
4K Ultra HD (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) on Xfinity TV – Xfinity
They also mention the UK soccer matches they've done for a while now but they are not producing them just showing them on Comcast / Xfinity like Directv does.
Anyway thought some of you might like to read this.
Seems little by little 4k and 4k HDR live sports are finally happening.
I do like how Comast is showing both a 4k SDR and 4k HDR version of the game all their 4k customers can watch the game. Smart move. Normally you'd never say smart and NBC / Comcast in the same thought. lol
Of course it's probably just their own content that they are doing that but still a very good move.
Lastly, Anyone have any details on these NBC 4k HDR games.
Are they also 1080P HDR upconverted to 4k HDR like Fox?
Or the real deal.
