I just got my 722 and still have my older 508's in use. The 508's use channel 3 to feed to other TV's. Have a series of A/B switches I use to switch from 1 508 to other so you can watch either one on any of my 5 TV's.
Now the 722 default coax out on TV 2 is ch 60. I put a splitter to combine ch 3 (from 508) and ch 60 (722 TV2)to same A/B input switch, to be able to switch between both 508's, so any TV can watch either 508 on ch 3 or change to
ch 116 to watch the 722 TV2. Both use UHF remotes (ch 116 is a sister to ch 60). I have a new sony in my daughters room a 4 year old sony in son's room in office newer 22" flat panel Monitor (w/PIP window my PC) the 508's picture is on ch 3 is good (for SD anyway) the 722 ch 116 is just OK, but the older CRT TV 36" sony XBR In basement is snowy and has a hum.
I called dish was told to switch from ch 60 air (default ) to cable ch 73 in system settings. and that 73 is a sister ch 3
has anyone else tried this?
