Post all your signal strengths; I am betting you are getting diagnostic codes because something isn't setup or peaked correctly.

Also what type of Dish & switch setup do you have? How many receivers or tuners?

on Tuner 1 - 1-8 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 9-16 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 17-24 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 25-32 0-0-0-0-51-0-0-0 Tuner 2 - 1-8 98-96-97-89-96-100-95 9-15 91-86-92-88-93-96-94-96 17-24 94-84-94-95-93-90-100-95-100 25-32 95-0-92-100-94-100-95-100 dish slimline - 3

remember that i just had new line just put in because of a hole in the line

something obviously is wrong with tuner 1....do you have 2 lines going into the receiver or just one?

two lines yes,we called, and case management tonight or tomorrow at 8am, i am in the tear 2, and i hope its not the box, because i had at least (30 Boxes) and that no joke!

you could swap the cables on the back and see what happens. If tuner 2 shows 0 then its a cable issue

Switch the sat lines going into the DVR. If the #1 tuner shows the tuned signals and the# 2 tuner shows zeros you will then know that both tuners are ok. Mark with tape the line producing the zeros. Something on that line is not working. It could be an uncompressed fitting, a cut or damaged cable or a defective sat port on the LNB or a defective ground block connection.

If the signals stay the same as you show after reversing the cables tuner #1 is not working.

for 1, the last tech said to us never do by our self, and 2, i cant do it because of mine Cerebral palsy

Hopefully you didn't take his comments to heart, chances are you'll never sere him again.

Next time a D* installer tells you that, mention to him that you know a bunch of people that can do thier own dish set ups.
It's not Rocket Science, sometimes they feel like they are the only ones that could possibly do thier job.
Many others are very professional and very good.

no,the last time it was a pain, and then the tech said he believe that no one should be asked to that

sorry man but I dont buy what the tech said. Its not that hard to swap 2 cables around on the back of a DVR unless its like crammed in an entertainment center. Takes 5 minutes tops and can help troubleshoot it. At least you'll know if its the receiver or the cable

I'd love to have that tech tell me that considering I've done all the wiring in my house for 2 OTA antennas, 2 free to air setups and the Directv setup. :)

man, i wish you here to see the whole story, my hands don't work!, my mom hands barely work,

so is a tech coming tomorrow? You didnt mention that...other than tier 2 support.

like I say if you wan to troubleshoot now all you need to do is have somebody change the cables around and see what happens
