Howdy All,

I changed my dish service address from laurel, md to severn, md, my locals changed from washington, dc to baltimore. The guide shows baltimore locals, but when I try to watch the channel I get a message "Acquiring Satellite Signal" switches to sat 110, transponder 10, then displays a blue screen saying "Local Channel is not available" and "They are working to fix the situation".

I might add that I use this setup in western maryland and never have any issues receiving washington, dc locals.

Are baltimore and dc locals on the same spotbeams?

I tried re-setting the box twice with no luck, is it possible it takes awhile for the receiver to get whatever signal or authorization it needs.

It is possible that authorization is backed up but it's far more likely you are out of the spotbeam or aimed at the wrong satellite arc.

Baltimore and DC are on same spotbeam for both SD & HD so as long as you are within the spotbeam it should work

SD locals are on 110
HD & (SD MPEG4) are on 61.5

so you are on the right arc especially if you had DC locals before
