I got to sit with Criss Angel at Team Summit for the big boxing event. Surprisingly he is kind of quiet (except when someone comes up and trys talking to him durring the boxing, where he politely tells people to F* off as hes watching boxing)

do you think Charlie will touch on some real issues that concern his subscribers? Oh things like HD locals, MLB channel (are we going to get it on launch?) MLB EI-are we shut out for 7 years?, New channels in HD. Or do we get a hour of Nascar promotion like last time?

-Here are the Int'l channels we added (good news....moogoojumbawumba language now has channels on Dish)
-promo for a PPV sporting event like wreslting, boxing, MMA, UFC, etc
-guest who will kill most of the time
-couple slam dunk e-mails (like how can I get my locals in HD that are available now...answer...upgrade to 622 or 211)
-couple phone calls (usually slam dunk but once in a while people eek through and ask good question...Charlie looks like deer in headlights and passes it to someone else who will say "we're in negotiations with _____________ channel")

Very (VERY!) rarely, will they actually mention something you didn't hear about here first.
For instance, they mentioned an HP media server device during the previous tech chat, and implied that multiple ViP622's will eventually share hard drive space over ethernet.
I don't remember hearing about those before but I may just not have been paying attention. In fact I'd bet one or the other was mentioned in the Team Summit stuff and I just missed it.

An excellent idea I would love to see.... as long as I dont have to buy HP. Very poor computers and you get far less for the money compared to others IMHO.

It's 60 minutes longer than any other CEO's TV show... (with the exception of Gates and Jobs, who manage to appear on TV regularly)
Dish Network made it publicly appear at events like CES and Satellite Expo the past two years, only to make it disappear as soon as they closed the gates. Although Chris Angel may make USB External Storage appear, just remember that it is all an illusion...
Now that the Ides of June are almost upon us, perhaps tonight is where the wheels finally hit the road and Charlie will provide factual information regarding USB External Storage: release date, product support, pricing.

But are they just made-up figures or do they represent some kind of animated series or game? Am I supposed to recognize them?
I remember when I watched a Chevrolet commercial during the Super Bowl - the one where they sang "We're the old Chevrolet set" at the end. During the commercial they showed 6 or 7 people getting into or driving Chevys while singing. I thought they were all regular people off the street. It wasn't until a week later that someone told me they were all celebrities and I guess I was supposed to recognize them.
If I may speak frankly, they make me ill... I guess "creepy" is the usual term...
