But, Dish does not broadcast all of the HD games in HD. If they did I'm sure even Bob wouldn't have a problem with the part-time status of the RSNs....

What Charlie said was accurate in that it is a tradeoff of other nets and RSNs. I, for one, am happy that is the choice that is made. But Charlie indicated "this time next year" for full time RSNs. So Bob, can you refrain from new threads on the subject until at least June 14, 2011?

Yea but charlie has transponders that are avaliable now, The only thing that could be a hold up would be the situation over at 61.5. Also, the problem with the choice is the of some of the channels that are holding HD slots right now that bearly show hd programming, or channels that nobody knows about.

Its pawned off that charlie doesnt have the room now, but when your launching transpoders of Dish Cinima at prices that nobody will order from, (its easyer to do netflix, or apple tv) It's kind of a waste.

BTW just because charlie said next year, doesnt mean Im giving up the fight... That just means people will be saying and so it continues until June 14th 2011.... or until they launch.

Im thinking realistically, RSN's could be launched in 60 days from launch, if everthing goes well on July 10th. That time frame isnt bad.

Not as much, but they need to do more of the special coverage stuff, or if the transponders are not used, why not light up RSN's for the studio stuff too. If a game isnt airing on channel X during the 7-10 pm why not turn it off an allow another channel (y) to get their game on, and then once that game's over swich channel x back to full time mode and do a rotation like that.

That could be an idea. I would really like to come up with a solution for charlie and everyone, as I dont just want to be complaining all the time, I would like to help fix it too! :up

Argh! For the first time since a Dish customer, I missed a Charlie Chat and a satguys chat. Our power was out for several hours.

Did I miss anything?

Dish has 26 part time RSNs. Obviously, they can easily find space for 14 full time (on the 2 TPs used for part time), but can you show me where the space is for the other 12 on the western arc? Not to mention space for some others they might be able to add with full time, like YES.

Actually, this afternoon, I was thinking, what if with the extra E14 spot capacity, they put RSNs on spot on the WA, and on CONUS on the EA. Then, most customers who want their local RSNs are good with the dish they have. Those that want out of market or the sports pack can get a wing dish. They save bandwidth on the arc that has less of it (in fact, they probably gain some space on WA), but keep most people happy.

I might also add the Dish Cinema takes up little space, and I think there are only 5 HD PPVs on the WA, probably with at least 2 needed for sporting-related PPV events.

I almost missed it as well, I forgot all about it until I came online and saw it listed on our homepage...

Sorry guys mind has been elsewhere the past few days.

MASN2 HD

Just give me MASN & MASN2 in HD and I will be happy. We finally have the beginnings of a respectable baseball team and it would be nice to see the NATs in HD. :)

Tell me it "aint" so.

Waaahh! My obsolete equipment quit working!
