channels we are missing in High defintion on dish network

Out of all those channels there's only 1 I would like to see in HD[NASATV], the rest I could care less.

Certainly not because any of those channels are not in HD. Most don't even get a 100k viewers a day (I don't think any of them do) and spread that across a dozen providers. It's currently not worth it to Dish to put those up in HD for a few thousand viewers.

I am shocked that Disney XD and TV Land are not in HD at this point. They do hit a large demographic for their shows and just doing a quick search, for Disney XD series finale of Gravity Falls last year was just under 3 million viewers and The Star Wars rebels show averaged 1.1 million back in 2015. TV Land also has had some strong rating for "Younger" and "Teachers" that I just read about a couple of weeks ago. Granted, the numbers are nothing like ESPN or some other channels, but those two seem to stick out as being missing in HD given the number of people that watch the channel

Well, Dish just had a free preview of Great American Country. For some other channels in the past, Dish did a free preview of the standard-def feed right before adding the HD feed. Of course, Great American Country is a "frequent preview" channel, so don't necessarily hold your breath on that one.

Really, TV Land, you do realize the vast majority (Likely over 90%) of what TVLand airs are shows that were not filmed in HD Widescreen to begin with. There would be no point in it being in HD

With a couple of exceptions if you added together all those channels it wouldn't even move the ratings meter. TVLand and POP have some original programming and sure NASA should be in HD there may be one or two others otherwise,It's much closer to this;

And I'm sure it would be alright with a lot of other folks if DISH pulled all the channels that you like to pay for whatever. It just doesn't work that way.

I have to look for regional channels that sporadically have TVG in HD...I vote for TVG in HD.

There are PLENTY of old tv shows that were filmed on FILM..some are available in hd
