Channel numbers on Visionsat

Whats with all the weird numbering schemes. Like G25 is in the 3000 range. G26 has , 100s, 300s, and 400s. Anybody know how to change?
Or whats Visionsat method of numbering?

I noticed that too. Seems like if there is a SID (syatem ID number) it logs them that way especially on G25.

I dont know of a way to change them which sucks as I like to have my channels list in order by satellite E to W. You can sort them but the channel numbers stay the same

so if you move channel 3001 between 15 & 16 the channel list shows
15
3001
16

Not like some boxes that just move the channels up one

I understand the channel editor isn't working with the latest firmware versions. If it was working could you change channel numbers with that. I've never really used a channel editor so I'm not sure what is typical.

Mine put NASA (119w) on Channel 213 (That's Dish's channel number), but I found out how to revert the box to regular numbering:

Menu button > Installation > Option > Renumbering by SID > 'Off'

Even if you turn that off it still logs some of the 97W stuff as 3001, 3002, etc

My Viewsat sticks everything at channel 4000. Then whenever I blind scan the first thing it does is tack the new channels after the last channel number used. Wish it would split up the channel numbers some, at least by sat.
