Hi, I have a 75cm Channel Master dish that was used for Direct TV with 101, 110 and 119 that I now use for dishnetwork 110 & 119. I'd like to get 118.7 also.

I'd like to keep the dish I have since its a decent size.

What type of LNB can I use in the 119 slot to get 118.7? Will one of the DMS DSS922's or the DGL1189Q 4 port LNB for with a dish 322 and 622PVR?

Thanks..

You need a Dish 500Plus lnb. It is a special lnb that incorporates a special FSS circular lnb and a standard BSS lnb for 119 in one horn (separate cable outputs required). It ships with an additonal side mounted single output standard BSS that can be used for 110 on the 500plus dish.

Here is a link to one of the site sponsors that sell it. You can pop the plastic case off it and it has a nice small barrel for mounting.

Is there a version of the LNB out that has a 40mm neck?

The 500plus is about that diameter. Maybe 35MM ( I don't have a calipher). You can build it up with tape if necessary.

After you pop the plastic cover off, you need to grind off a couple of protruding aluminum taps so the barrel is round in the mount area.

You can buy a univeral 118/119 lnb in the secondary market but they use the legacy technology and can not be mixed with dishpro lnbs.

I would have reservations about trying to adapt a 500+ LNB to another type of dish. The 118.7 signal isn't that strong to begin with and trying to rig it with anything other than a 500+ dish would be asking for trouble.

Just my opinion.
