Nope hasn't been in years.
Caught with his pants down!Yeah that’s right. I went to Vegas during the porn convention last year.
But then again I never bother to actually go to CES, even when I can go. I think I might have gone once in 2008, and stayed for an hour and left.
As far as I’m concerned CES Is just an excuse to go to Vegas.
I'll take the time to state it: 15X FFWD is nearly useless and always frustrating when skipping takes to long and I want to get to a point faster and in a more efficient way that allows me to SEE THE VIDEO that I often NEED to see; Yes, 4X FFWD is truly useful, and I would love it returned to us and then 15X and faster have there uses, as well. Not saying get rid of any of the FF, just asking for 4XFWD be returned to us.GIVE US BACK OUR 4X FFWD!!
I thought CES was seriously considering having a day when consumer/public would be allowed or something like that. At least I remember reading that a few years ago. From what I remember reading, it seemed to me that CES was considering having a day--at the end, like the last day--for the public as a way to get a few extra bucks in their pockets by selling tickets/access to the public although they never directly said that. The participants who had products on display that were actually going to market (like the TV makers/brands) seemed to like the idea of a public/consumer day.I have a greater interest in the concepts. It is my opinion that the concepts, albeit may be crap half the time, are what will inspire the ideas for the great creation. I feel like that is the point of the Consumer Electronic Show. Just wish it was more open to the consumers...
Yeah, originally it was about manufacturers and retailers; then, as they realized the free promotion to the consumer that the Press provides, it turned into the Dog and Pony show we all know (and love?).CES has changed from a place where you got to see new technology before it came out to a place where you see concepts of things and the companies there are looking for funding to try making these things.
Most of the stuff shown now never makes it to the market.
Sadly it’s not the same place it use to be.
