So now that the Dispute is over I wondering when we will begin to see more HD feeds. I'm still not seeing any of the HD feeds available on Center Ice. Perhaps tomorrow?

I do not think it had to do so much with the FOX dispute as much as it has to do with limited bandwidth allocated to RSNs

That's not true, because none of the Fox Sports RSNs League Pass games are in HD tonight. Usually, at least some are in HD.

SO, I assume that it was due to the fact that the HD RSNs are scheduled manually and that takes some time.

Have there been days in past years where this was the case?

Yep with Center Ice no games that were part of the dispute were featured in HD. So its really not possible that its just a coincidence. Someone explained it in a previous thread that what happens is normally Dish substitutes the HD feeds from the RSN's but during the dispute they must instead use the crap master feed from the league which is why some games are only in SD and look awful.

Not only have there been no Fox RSN HD games, there has been only one feed of all games (home or away) in most cases. I am aware of Dish's lack of bandwidth so some games are not in HD, but last year(s) Red Wing home games were always in HD. I hope they get this mess cleaned up quickly or I will be asking for a refund or 1/2 price discount. I refuse to pay more for less, which is what we are currently getting...

There's only one League Pass game listed in HD tonight. I don't know if it's going to take a while for the HD feeds to start back up or if this is how it's going to be all season. If they cut down the HD games to hardly nothing I'm definitely asking for a refund or a huge discount. I will also be contacting the NBA to let them know Dish is giving there customers a watered down version of this package.

On FSN channels only? Were there times where no FSN channels carried games in HD (even though other RSNs may have carried the games in HD)?

I do not know as I only subscribe to Center Ice not the RSN package. The other poster is correct the Red Wing home games were alway in HD. The LA Kings, Pittsburgh, Boston and Washington games were often in HD. None of the Canadian feeds were ever in HD. Is this also the case on Direct? Tonight on Dish it looks like Pittsburgh, Boston, Columbus, and Anaheim are in HD.

I think what is happening is that the HD game schedule is set about a week or so ahead of time and that doesn't change. So these games are set as if the dispute is still going on. hopefully next week will start seeing all the FSN channels featured in HD on Center Ice and League Pass.

As far as the Canadian broadcasts, I think I remember another poster saying they were not available in HD on any American providers.

As far as tonight games go all of them (that are in HD) are being broadcast on channels that were not part of the dispute. NESN, NHL Network, CSN Bay Area, Altitude, and FSN Pittsburg which even though it is a fox channel it actually was not part of the dispute.

And why are we getting only one version (home or away) of each game? In prior years we we got both -- sometimes 2 HD and 2 SD...

I spoke with a Dish Network operator earlier this afternoon who actually seemed to know what he was talking about. He even put me on hold for a few minutes to talk with a supervisor who relayed the information that League Pass games this season will only have 1-3 feeds per night in HD. So, if there's a full night of games on the schedule, the most that will be offered in HD would be 3 games and in some cases it might only be 1 or 2. He checked the schedule for this week and said there was 1 HD game tonight(out of 8), none tomorrow night(out of 5), 1 Monday night(out of 4), 1 Tuesday night(out of 8) and 2 Wednesday night(out of 11)....that's as far out as their schedule goes. I told him that was completely unacceptable and that I'd be calling back before Nov. 3rd(when the free preview ends) to cancel my League Pass subscription. If Dish is going to offer this watered down version of LP then I refuse to pay for it.

Well it definitely seems like the bottom line is that until this 24/7 RSN thing happens DISH Network customers just have to pay the same price as DirecTV customers for a much worse version of a sports package.

Cool....

I told the Dish rep that DirecTV's version of League Pass not only gets all the games in HD, but with dual feeds most of the time you get the choice of home or away telecasts in HD. All he could do was apologize for the fact that this is how Dish has chosen to present the NBA package right now.

It is not so much a matter of how Dish has chosen to do the package, but how Dish has chosen to broadcast all of their RSNs. Direct carries pretty much every single RSN in HD 24/7. When a game is in HD there are no bandwidth issues when it comes to remapping those same HD RSN feeds to the particular sports package channels, EI, LP, or CI (keep in mind, you can also watch the games on the actual RSN channels on Direct as well).
