Another win for Boston---and another less than expected performance by Lebron James. it is hard to be impressed by either team at this point but the Celts do have a2-0 advantage at this point.
REALLY NOW....??!! Gooden and Hughes would have gave you ALOT MORE chance of getting to the Finals than this group of has-beens and never weres.
West is a back-up with 90% of the teams in the league....Szczerbiak...has been one of the most inconsistent players in the NBA in the last 10 years...for every good game he has, he has 4 bad ones....and Wallace is MORE than a liability on offense and he has been dreadful since leaving Detroit...those are the hard facts.
And you STILL think this team is better than last year?
Never said "better". I just don't think there was an overall dropoff or dramatic gain either way.
It would be easy to justify that by having Gooden and Hughes we would be able to matchup better with this Celtics squad by watching the outcome of these last two games, but hind sight is always twenty twenty.
BTW, I was so full of promise after the first quarter of last night's game. At the time we were up by 12 and hitting our outside shots. Then the Celtics made their run and didn't look back. Two upcoming games at home is exactly what this team needs right now.......
Forget last night...playoffs are ALL ABOUT MATCHUPS. Last years team would have matchup VERY WELL with this Celtics team. Much more athletic and better all around team than this one. The regular season for the Cavs were smoke and mirrors. Now, as far as "home cooking"...forget it...don't mean a damn thing. The Celtics are doing exactly what ALL good teams do when it comes to teams that has only ONE VERY GOOD player....play defense on him...keep him in check, for THAT specific player...and the rest of the team will more or less collapse. Which is exactly what happened. IF Lebron does NOT have a MONSTER rest of the series...this might not go 6.
It's all about matchups and defense.....and the Celtics have done both. How many points the Cavs are averaging? 72 points...? SEVENTY-TWO POINTS??!!
Now THAT JUNK talk is TOTALLY acceptable because the Pistons HAVE been either in the Eastern Conference finals or the NBA Finals over the last 5-10 years. :up
So far all I see is that BOSTON hasn't won on the road in these playoffs. If the Cadavers can win one in Boston, I would say that Boston could be in trouble, but as long as the Celtics rule their home court....
And we're one game away from playing in our 6th consecutive conference finals!
108-84! 24 point deficit!? Damn. Celtics, you guys got embarrassed.
And if the Cav's win tonight, the series will be all tied up! The "Q" will be electric tonight for game 4, that's for sure.
How bout that block by LeBron on Rondo where he basically pinned the ball against the glass while suspended 12' in mid air. Now that was sick!

I agree....but if you follow the usual trend, it goes usually as follows:
1st 4 games...blowout win for each at home and a close one for each at home...OR a close win be the visiting team, therefore stealing a win, then the next night, the home team wins by a blowout. The series ALWAYS starts in game 5....
Just like predicted....
Prediction? More like stating a trend following Game 3 on Saturday. Your post was made the next day on Sunday!
I was busy studying for an online test on Saturday, but I saw parts of the game.
Anyway, when I saw the final core, I presumed LeBron went off for 40-50.
I was surprised.
LeBron was not exactly lights out and they STILL won big?!
Wow...
Since HD MM is a Cavs/LeBron fan,
I'm surprised he doesn't have an avatar of the King.
