Carson Palmer's big mouth

Good point. It seemed like the fans were divided up 50/50 the last two years, but I think it was easier on the SEC teams regarding travel, scheduling, logistics, etc. Not much we can do about that, but it is a factor.

It seemed like in Arizona it was about 2/3 Buckeye fans, perhaps people didn't want to travel so much from Miami to Tempe.

Sandra
It just shows who travels better, Buckeye fans travel very well every year.
Unfortunately , when going to New Orleans, the Buckeye fans are only allowed a certian amount of tickets, much less than the previous year in Tempe.
Thus making a LSU crowd easily in thier home area.

Jimbo

Jimbo, my home state(Tennessee) hasn't hosted any NC Games I'm aware of.:)

That being said both LSU and Florida absolutely torched OSU.
End of story.

If your point is that playing in Columbus would hold the defecit to a couple of touchdowns instead of the beat down they took- Maybe?

...OSU is tired of playing for the NC in your HOME state too...

...Playing 50 minutes from home gives you a huge advantage, I don't care what anyone else thinks.

I also heard that the CO2 levels were slightly raised in the Superdome while the LSU fans and players secretly donned respirators! :shocked

Yeah just waiting for the "officials were against us card" to be added to the littany of excuses for OSU's performance in BCS Championships past.:(

Oh, that's been done already - remember all those personal fouls that were never committed but were called against "the"OSU for no reason? :)

I've heard it all.

Yup, there all there, Ohio State plays like a High School team against the Proffesionals at LSU.:D

Bucks could do nothing and al calls went thier way, yup, that was it, LSU could do no wrong, they could be 10 yards offside and officials would miss it :D

david1314,
David, where you from ?
Your new here I think, no one knows anything about your teams you follow.
Please list them.

You may be right to a degree.

That said any one who says they HATE another team and thier fans, has something seriously wrong, if they were serious about the statement.
It's different if he was joking around when he was talking, but there was no banter in his voice.

Yes, Salsa, This WILL blow over.

btw, your comment about a Dolphin player doing the same would NOT go over well down there either.

On the contrary....the reason why it would be forgotten within 24 hours....Teams in Miami have won championships(and recently, I might add) in every major sport but hockey AND that team made the Stanley Cup Finals....So a comment similar to Palmer's would be an afterthought. OTHER than Ohio State getting a lucky break with that terrible pass interference call against the U;), the state of Ohio has won very little to nothing in the last 10 to 15 years.

Jimbo's got a point.

I'd like to see those haughty SEC teams play in cold weather.

E!veryone slurps the SEC, but let's see Tebow try and complete a pass in blinding snow.

IMO, SEC teams are wimps who would cower and hide if they played in snowy conditions. They thrive in warm weather, but try and win in freezing weather!

Jesus Christ.....Gimme a break! That weather excuse, as an advantage or disadvantage, for any team is as lame as Jennifer Lopez's a$$ is big. I mean I could say the same about let's see how Michigan tries to run the ball 45 times in Miami in early September....that offensive line would wittle and die by the 3rd quarter.

That weather excuse is tired and useless.....

Looks like OSU fans aren't the only ones who complain about officiating...

There is close calls...and than there are "what f***ing game were you watching" calls.....THAT was one of them.

OK now I get it.

When OSU fans complain about calls against OSU, it's tired and useless. Yet when you complain about call that went OSU's way, it's perfectly valid...cool, no double standard there!

I believe this is the 'Loser's lament' that was identified earlier in the thread...too far to travel for Miami, bad calls, Wilhelm's hit on Dorsey...

Miami lost...move on...

LOL...and yet....Ohio State fans can moan and bitch about why teams in the south don't play in the north? Wilhelm's hit was fine with me....I have no issues with PLAYERS deciding the outcome of games....not refs....or teams whinning about the weather....Ohio State is O-for in championship games, and big too....is that losers lament also?

First and foremost unabashed Atlanta Braves fan since 1969. Plenty of heartache.

CFB-Tennessee
CBB-Same

NFL-Jacksonville
NBA-no one
NHL-Thrashers

Pretty objective take on most things sports. Very objective on anything non Atlanta Braves.

Huh? Can you clarify what you mean there?

I count 7 National Championship victories. (1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002).

And they won a National Championship game before losing the last two. He's still annoyed the Buckeyes beat Miami...

5 years later and your STILL complaining about it ???

Your post Salsa said :

Your right, the call in the NC game was a close call, not a bad call.

Of course if Buckeye fans says something about it, they are WRONG, but when Miami fan talks about it, it's a bad call.

Sunday night NFL games to stream online
