I have recently hooked my dish system back up after the charter cable guy cut everything and disconnected it hooking their junk up and i finally got the dvr to work like it supposed to. I cant however get the 422 reciever to operate the other two tvs. Ther is no signal and when i hook the other tv up to the 422 the signal intermittently goes out on the DVR quite often. I used the schematic for the DP34 from dish, ANY ideas on what im screwing up? Thanks:confused:

Hmm....you mean a 322...or a 222...or a 622...722? If you are using a DP34 switch, you should have two lines from the outputs of the switch going to the two sat inputs of the dual tuner receiver...one ofthese lines will be diplexed unless tv2 runs straight from recvr tv2 out to second television.

If it is a 422 (222 predecessor) it is outdated and should be upgraded. If you can't get it free and refuse to commit, see if they have a current software version for it and go through basic troubleshooting.

sorry its a 322G

It does sound like a switch/cable problem. I'm guessing you are trying to do the work yourself but it may be better to bite the bullet and call. With dp switches you do have to have a cable from each output to each tuner on a dual tuner rcvr but if u get a dpp switch u can have one cbl per dual tuner and just use a separator at the rcvr. And as said before use a diplexer if necessary.

Umm just to clarify a dp switch/lnb will support one dual tuner with a single cbl plus separator. The other dual would need two cbls

A DPP lnb would support your equipment - a single tuner receiver and a dual tuner receiver, each with a single cable (the dual tuner requiring a separator). The switch you currently have would not be used.
