cannot get 3 channels on DISH

I subscribe to a Chinese language package of about 30 channels. In the last couple of weeks 3 channels crop out with the messages "complete signal loss/partial signal loss". Before that I was able to get the channels from 5pm to 9am for about a month and before that time it was ok. All other channels are ok. What could be the problem?
I did call the support people and checked the switch where all three satellites report operating ok ( green ).
 
Not sure, maybe you already did this, but when you "checked the switch", was it the System Info page at Menu-6-1-3 that showed all three sats were green, or did you go to the check switch page at Menu-6-1-1, then select Check Switch, then test? If you ran those, and the agent is in the Missing Channels flow (or 015 flow), what did the agent say? You should have been offered a technician visit based on still missing the channels, due to the 015 message you get for complete signal loss).

Look at the chart that comes up and find all your chinese language channels.
Look at the transponder numbers listed (just to the right of where it says 118.7 after each channel)

Once you have done that answer this question:

Are there any channel you DO get on the same transponder number as channels you DO NOT get? Yes or no.

If the answer is no, check the signal level on the transponder(s) the missing channels are on by going to Menu>6>1>1 on most receivers (Point Dish screen).

Let us know what you find
 
all the channels on transponder 24 are not working. Doing the 6-1-1 test transponder 24 shows signal strength 3, message "locked - name not acquired"
 
Okay, so it sounds like a signal strength issue. You need to have a tech come over and peak your dish. It happens from time to time, especially with those larger dishes. Contact a Dish Internet Response Team (DIRT) member here to get something set up.

Doesn't dish "rebalance" those transponders from time to time.(move channels around)

Yes, they do. But the computer that generates gets the info directly from the satellites and is updated at the very least, daily. This is how we get our list of changes in the uplink forum
