Can'dish 1000 with dpp 44

Can't get 61.5 with dish 1000 and dpp 44

Just installed dish 1000 with 921 and dish pro plus 44 switch.

I have good signal with 110 119 129 and 61.5 when directly to reciever.
But when going throught dpp44 I can not get 61.5.
I can only get 110 when it is connected to input port 2. 119 is connect to port 3 and 129 is on port 1. Still works when 129 is on port 4. But no 61.5 on port 1.

Using Dish 500 with dual dish pro lnb for 61.5
Even ran new cable to 61.5 but can't connect with dpp44.
Cable is all Commcast RG6Q with tomas betts connectors.

Keep performing check switch but no luck.

You need to run 3 lines from a dish1000 to a DPP44, 2 from the twin and 1 from the single LNB. Also, do not connect the other port of the single to the input port on the DPP Twin.

Thats what I am doing. I have three wires coming from the dish 1000. One from 129 and two from the dpp lnb ( 2-110 , 1-119)

Then one from the dish 500 61.5 (single dual lnb)
129 is also a single dual lnb (dish pro)

first thing i'd try before you get too carried away, if you have an extra Seperator, put a new one in, i've had a few of those bad that would throw off my check switchs

Tried it both ways with and without seperator. Currently using two line from DPP44 to 921.

actually it sounds like it may be a bad switch since it is outputing each satellite on a different output, it doesn't sound like its combining them...
and i'm sure i probably dont need to ask this, but you are using the outputs on the bottom of the switch, and not the side... right? cause the ones on the side a direct feed through of the inputs

Have you tried 119 in port 1? I think receivers default to look for 119 in port 1. I would put 119 in port 1 and 110 in port 2 and then 129 and 61.5 in port 3 and 4.

On the Dish 500 pointed at 61.5, is it two DishPro LNBs, or a Twin? Perhaps the DP+44 switch doesn't like having a DP Twin for 61.5 AND a DP+ Twin for 119/110.

yeah, now that you say that, if i remember right, the DP+ lnb isn't supposed to be used with a 44 switch, it has to be a twin. (i think)

Ditto. You NEED the power inserter AND download the latest software to get 129 working properly. I'd visit the, uh, 921 support forum to see anyone else is having the same problem. It's at the other forum by the way.

I switched the 129 lnb with the 61.5 lnb. Then I got the 61.5 but no 129 or 119. Figure that. I was only getting 61.5 and 110.

Put the 129 lnb back on 129 and I got 129 119 110.
I did do a check switch each time I change the lnbs

So I think it is my lnb at 61.5 is bad. It may be drawing to much power or the DPP44 can supply enough power for all the lnbs. When connected directly to 921 I can point and aim dish just fine at 61.5.

Really??? I have had NO luck whatsoever with a DPP Twin and a DPP44 switch. IMO, that would be the 1st place I would start is replacing the DPP Twin with a DP Twin.

i Actualy had this same problem it turned out to be a bad power inserter.

ordered a new switch kit problem went away.

Power supply is nothing special. Check voltage. It should be about 21 vdc. Must be at least 12 vdc at end of run under load.

Ports 1 & 2 can be either 110 or 119. Port 3 can be anything else. "BUT" port 4 can only do 121, 105, or 129. This means port 3 must be 61.5 in your install.
