As a result of continuing dropouts on WDIV DT (NBC Detroit), Cancom has switched the feed to WGRZ-DT Buffalo.

Apparently it will cost WDIV $100,000 to fix the problem. It turns out that Cancom/Rogers/Cogeco have been sharing the same fibre link from Detroit stations. WDIV problem was less apparent with cable encoders, worse with Motorola DCII HD encoders. Rogers and Cogeco have dropped Detroit feed for most of their cable operations.

I dont see how it could be much different, since Motorola Cable systems use a varient (almost a close cousin) of the DC2 system.. and Rogers, I believe is an all Moto shop.
