Cancelling TV2 timers

...

Example TV1 should not presumed superior? When in fact it is.. you have no HD output options for TV2 on any of the current HD capable receivers. So how would you presume dish meant for TV2 to be a priority anywhere? They don't they never did .. and again I point to the default setting for Record Plus - TV2 such that they presumed TV2 (tuner 2) to be a less devoted output.. right? ....
You're just trolling, right? As I said, as far as some of us are concerned having an opinion is not something you can say is wrong... you may not agree with it or you may think the logic is bad but it is a fact. You seem to think that if you think something should be done in a manner that you believe to be best that if Dish does not do it that way they are somehow wrong and you elicit help from the DIRT team to bring about change. Fine, unless you dismiss dissenting opinions out of hand.

In my home we use a 622 receiver in the bedroom and also in the kitchen. The events set to record while in the kitchen are generally set by my wife. The events set to record while in the bedroom are generally set by me. Let me absolutely assure you that I am not going to suggest to my wife that her choices are somehow less important or lower priority then my choices.

In our opinion the way the receivers were set up is just fine. I again state,"YMMV." However, I again state that while you may not see that as a need in you mind, it is an opinion that is shared by "some" - and I suspect more than just two of us.

Dish has one of the best DVRs in the business out there, in spite of your suggesting that Dish somehow is inept and not listening to their customer base. Having run large production and design efforts, I realize it is easy for one with no design or production responsibilities to look in from the outside and criticize, however unless given internal access to qualified individuals those observations usually are not of help and rarely add value.
