Could 2-way coax splitter be used to run a line from the coax out of the receiver to the coax in FM port on a home theater stereo?

Would there be any type of increased FM signal with the combination of the dish and the ambient electrical loop of the house current used by the unit to boost an FM signal.

Probably crazy, but I thought I would ask.

That's not going to work. The coax out on the receiver is just an RF signal on channel 3/4 or several other channels depending upon the receiver. FM is another band entirely.

Many of the older receivers had an RF passthrough function for a regular TV antenna. The idea was that you watched your Dish receiver via coax when it was on, but then when it was off, you could still use your old NTSC TV to watch OTA channels.

Since broadcast FM is in the same band as VHF TV, the same antenna and cables should work for both. I personally don't bother, but I do have optical going from my Dish receiver to my home stereo for the purpose of satellite radio (from Dish). No commercials.
