DIRECTV’s latest box, the H26K Commercial 4K Receiver, is making waves throughout the satellite TV community. Yes, it’s only for commercial accounts. But take a moment and think about how many products have only been for residential accounts over the years, and it’s only fair. Now that Solid Signal has stock on the H26K, we’re getting a lot of questions. Because we’re the largest activation specialist for mobile and marine accounts, naturally our customers want to know if this latest and greatest receiver will work with mobile and marine accounts.
Generally speaking, if your mobile or marine dish is capable of seeing all 3 DIRECTV satellite locations at once, and if it’s fairly new, you’ll have no problem using this receiver. For example, the following products should work just fine with no additional accessories or configuration:
If you have a single-satellite product like:
you can add a SWM-30 multiswitch and connect up to 30 H26Ks to your mobile or marine product. Connection is easy, as you can see in this diagram:

Also, if you have any older hardware that is not listed here that has at least two satellite outputs, you can connect the SWM-30 the same way.
In order to work with an H26K, your mobile or marine dish must either have a built-in SWM multiswitch or have two satellite outputs. That means that products like the KING Quest will not work, nor will some older crank-up satellite dishes. Unfortunately there is not an upgrade path for this issue other than upgrading to something more compatible.
