Can you purchase HD channels only?

Just wondering.

I could've sworn I've seen this question posted here before (not by myself of course) but didn't look at the replies.

Not really a big deal, just curious more than anything. I'm sure TVLand among others will be going HD in the near future.

Your input would be appreciated as always.

You use to be able to do that. That was the Turbo HD packages.

That's what originally drew me to Dish.

Alas, they failed. Dish couldn't update the packages with new channels, dropped some, and people just got annoyed. In the end, they gave me a deal to switch out of it for the same price.

So I actually have more HD channels now than when I had the HD package.
